A wedding I attended

19 January 2008 would be a very special date for two of my church friends as this is the day they are going to get married. In the morning, I decided to catch up with my Literature and Mathematics homework before attending the ceremony. Upon finishing, I went to select the clothes I was going to wear. It took a whole long twenty minutes as I wanted to dress smartly.

By mid-afternoon, my parents and I set off for Mandarin Meritus Hotel where the wedding ceremony was held. My church friend, Bob, was going to marry Grace after a wonderful year of courtship and partnership working in a successful business. The ceremony started off with the welcome of the bride. After which, we sang some songs led by the worship team members.

After the whole ceremony was over, my church friends and I went to Cineleisure Orchard for a light snack as dinner was an hour away. Although they were five to ten years older than me, I found so much interest in talking to them as we shared many things in common.
When we got back to the hotel, we were served a scrumptious nine meal course. Throughout the course, we fellowship with one another and even saw video clips about Bob and Grace since they were young. The best part was the video clip about the arrival of the bridegroom at the bride's house in the morning. Everyone had a laugh as the bridegroom had to do so many funny things before gaining entry into the bride's room.

When my family and I got home, it was already midnight. After taking a shower, I went to sleep immediately as I needed to prepare for church the next day.

A moment spent alone doing something I enjoyed

"Ring..." The anticipated school bell rang. This meant the start of a weekend break I truly deserved. But before that, I had to go to Vicknesh's house to start doing the Literature project. A lot of effort was put in to get a good grade.

When I reached home, I was exhausted. Out of the blue, I had an insight on how to renew my strength. I would usually do something I enjoyed which is to look at my collection of items such as stamps and movie tickets that would bring back pleasant memories. At that moment, something caught my eye. It was the different coins and notes collected in Korea.

I would always have vivid and interesting memories of my six-day trip in Korea during the last November holidays. This trip was considered the most valuable trip as I got to acquire much knowledge about Koreans in the past and present. Apart from the knowledge I gained, I was elated as I even went to Shinsegae Chelsea Yeoju Premium Outlets to buy an Adidas shoe and bag.

The best part of the trip was to go to an amusement park called Lotte World. Too bad we were only allowed to play three games. My father and I rode an interesting roller coaster ride. Every country we visit, we would make it compulsory to ride the roller coaster. My heart stopped beating once the roller coaster started moving at 200km/h
. When all my three rides were used up, I did not complain but was contented with my lot but I felt unwilling when I had to leave Korea.

Just then, I woke up from my senses as my mother shouted, "Back to work, son!" I put down my album and started on my homework feeling fresh.

Something unusual that happened that day

Whoosh! I got into the house and enter my room, had a quick change of clothing before running out again. You must be wondering why I was in a rush. Every Monday, I would cycle at the park which is opposite my neighbourhood.

The sight of nature makes me feel rejuvenated. For a start, I was cycling at a leisurely pace. The park was so serene that the chirping of the birds could be heard a distance away. I wanted to train my thigh muscles, so I increased the gear intensity ratio so that extra strength is needed to cycle. Out of the blue, I heard someone shouted," Help...". At the same time, a man flashed past me like lightning. I immediately gave chase. After two minutes of chasing, my muscles were screaming to give way. A passer-by told me to lower the gear of the bicycle. I immediately did so and with my increased speed, my bicycle eventually knocked the thief down. He was screaming in pain as the tire was wedged in between his legs.

Two police officers arrived the crime scene to take down our statements of confession. As I was about to leave for home, a lady approached me. She thanked me for helping her to retrieve her handbag. As a reward, she gave me ten dollars. Before I could reject it, she hurriedly got into a taxi as she was in a hurry to go off. The taxi driver drove off immediately. Back home, I related this incident to my parents. After they heard about the reward given to me, they advised me to donate it to some charitable organization. Although I felt like keeping it for myself, I felt to stand for my principle to do good deeds from the heart regardless of any reward. When I had donated it, it was considered two good deeds done. I felt that there was true happiness in my heart.

Mr Jose

Just putting a short post:

I am hopping that Mr Jose Mourinho(former Chelsea manager) gets a place in Liverpool.

As for Rafael Benitez, i must admit that he is quite good. To me, both are good managers.
